“SORA!” Riku was sure Sora was about to wake up. “Please!”

“Riku…” again, Sora mumbled barely above a whisper.

Riku’s face lit up, as he held Sora tighter. ‘Maybe…’ Riku thought. Ignoring Naminé and Kairi behind and beside him, Riku leaned in closer to Sora’s face. “Wake up…” He whispered, just before gently brushing his lips against Sora’s.

The darkness began to fade, as he felt warmer than he had ever before. It faded and faded, into color. He saw silver hair in his face, feeling soft lips against his. He wanted more of it, but it slowly drew away, revealing bright aqua eyes.

Riku.

He remembered everything. He remembered the stars and the fireflies and how even though he was colder than anything that night, he didn’t want to complain to Riku, he didn’t want to leave his side for one second.

Riku leaned back from Sora, to see his blue eyes slowly opening. They looked up at him, sparkling. A blush graced his cheeks, and he smiled a small, weak smile.

“I woke up, Riku. I found you.”  

“SORA! I was so worried about you!” Riku held Sora close to him, while Kairi and Naminé looked relieved and happy as well.

Sora hugged Riku back as best as he could, being weak still. After a good hug, Riku let go of Sora, standing up, offering him a hand.

Sora took Riku’s hand, as he pulled the younger boy up. Riku released his hand, and Sora stood on his own for a moment, but then stumbled back. He caught Sora, putting another arm under his knees, and picked him up. Sora blushed, holding on to Riku’s neck.

Kairi and Naminé began to climb up the hill, heading for the train platform, Riku holding Sora, not far behind. As they reached the grass, Sora looked back, back at the ocean, back at the cliff, where he and Riku had shared such passionate moments, and how it was over for now.

But Riku was still with him, holding him, caring so much about him. He remembered being so cold, and how Riku was so warm. He snuggled into Riku’s chest, smiling and blushing.

Riku smiled down at him, whispering the words, “I love you.”
